| Details | The third SciPy India Conference was held from December 4th to 7th at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB). At this conference, novel applications and breakthroughs made in the pursuit of science using Python are presented. Attended by leading figures from both academia and industry, it is an excellent opportunity to experience the cutting edge of scientific software development. The conference was followed by two days of tutorials and a code sprint, during which community experts provide training on several scientific Python packages. In our 3rd year, 2011 of SciPy India the international Keynote speaker was Eric Jones. The other speakers were Gaël Varoquaux, Emmanuelle Gouillart, Mateusz Paprocki, Ajith Kumar and Kannan Moudgalya. We had total of 22 talks at the conference. |
