National Librarian's Day Special | Koha Orientation Programme

Libraries are at the forefront of the digital knowledge revolution, and librarians play a vital role in shaping this transformation. As part of the National Librarian's Day celebrations, the FOSSEE Project, IIT Bombay, conducted a special online Koha Orientation Programme for librarians, library professionals, faculty members and students of Library & Information Sciences on 11 August 2026. Around 700 participants joined us online. The event gave a participants insights on the aim and activities of the FOSSEE project,how Koha can digitalise libraries and how it can empower librarians. The learning materials created by the FOSSEE Koha team was also introduced to the participants. The event aimed at empowering librarians and libraries through open-source technologies.
