Internships
FOSSEE Internship Program
Every year, the FOSSEE Project offers internship opportunities to students from across the country. These internships are open to students from any college, pursuing any degree, and at any stage of their undergraduate or postgraduate studies. The only criterion for selection is the successful completion of a useful project. Students interested in applying for this fellowship must first learn a Free/Libre and Open Source Software (FLOSS) and complete a set of screening tasks. These tasks may involve, Programming or scientific computing, Collecting data beneficial to the community, Simulation of models and circuits using FOSS tools, Graphic designing and animation, etc.
The screening tasks are designed to be of a medium difficulty level and can be completed within two to four weeks. Selection is based solely on the evaluation of the screening tasks. Students who are selected will have the opportunity to work with the FOSSEE team for a duration of 1.5 to 3 months or more depending on the quality of work delivered by the student.
Upon successful completion of the internship, each student will receive:
-
An e-certificate
-
An honorarium
-
A link to their published work on the FOSSEE platform. This link can serve as a valuable addition to their academic portfolio and career opportunities.
