FOSSEE Winter Internship 2025

FOSSEE invites applications for the Winter Internship for Dec 2025. Students have the opportunity to work with the FOSSEE team for a minimum of one month. This is a remote internship with continuous support and mentoring. To get shortlisted for the internship, select a project and choose a screening task from the table given below. Then you need to complete at least one of the screening tasks. The selection will be purely based on the evaluation criteria of each screening task. Some teams may also opt for a subsequent interview.

 

How to Participate?

Students desirous of getting selected for this internship have to learn a Free/Libre and Open Source Software (FLOSS) and complete at least one screening task. These tasks can involve programming/ scientific computing/ collecting data that will be of use to the community. These screening tasks are not very complicated and can be done in a week’s time.

 

Terms of Engagement:

Remote Full time (One month) / Part-time (Two months).

 

Important dates:

Registration start date	6th Nov 2025
Submission start date	6th Nov 2025
Registration and submission end date	23rd Nov 2025
Declaration of the results	28th Nov 2025
Start date of the internship	1st Dec 2025

 

Registration and Selection Procedure:

• To register, please select one of the projects from the table given below and fill out this form to register.
• The submitted task will be reviewed by experts/ mentors from the FOSSEE team. 
• After the review, the top submissions will be selected. The results of the selected interns will be displayed on the website.
• The interns will get the flexibility to work full-time (8 hrs a day) or part-time (4 hrs a day) during the internship.
